NSYBL Code of Conduct

Coaches

• Lead by example, promoting respect, discipline, and integrity.
• Encourage and teach good sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Treat all players fairly, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
• Respect the decisions of umpires and league officials.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all players.

Players

• Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times, win or lose.
• Respect teammates, coaches, umpires, and opponents.
• Play by the rules and accept decisions made by umpires without argument.
• Refrain from using foul language, taunting, or engaging in unsportsmanlike behavior.
• Take care of equipment and facilities, keeping fields and dugouts clean.

Parents & Spectators

• Be positive role models, demonstrating respect and encouragement.
• Refrain from negative comments, yelling at players, coaches, or umpires.
• Let coaches coach and umpires officiate—no interference from the stands.
• Cheer respectfully for all players and appreciate their efforts.
• Follow all facility rules and guidelines.

Umpires & League Officials

• Enforce the rules fairly and consistently.
• Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
• Ensure a safe playing environment for all participants.
• Address any disputes or misconduct in accordance with league policies.

Enforcement & Consequences

• Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, ejections, suspensions, or removal from league participation. The NSYBL reserves the right to take appropriate action to maintain the integrity and spirit of the game.
• By participating in the Nutmeg State Youth Baseball League, all players, coaches, parents, and spectators agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to a positive baseball experience for everyone involved.
